Reflection for Technical Communication
Dear Professor Brad, This is your student Chuang Yuan from TLM, I am writing this letter to share with you what I have learnt from TLM 1010 Technical Communication. This module exposed me to things that were never taught to me in junior college(JC). Before studying this module, I thought that I knew how to write a report because I had experiences with project work in JC. However, little did I know that there are so many rules, format and techniques to follow in a report, such as the need to have ’abstract’, ‘table of content’ and ‘letter of transmittal’. Another important thing that I have learnt is how to properly cite a source in APA format, which is definitely going to be useful when I enter the workforce in the near future. Moreover, the activity that most resonated with me was the oral presentation, I am very grateful that our group was given the chance to present in front of the TLM cohort.
